I’m a journalist and educator with a knack for poking holes in bad arguments and explaining why they matter. By day, I teach English and History to students of all levels (and try to make comma splices fun). By night, I write sharp takes, local news, and cultural commentary for a range of publications. I’ve been a college writing tutor, a TA, and now an after-school teacher—and I bring that same clarity and curiosity to my reporting. My work has earned honors from the LA Press Club and the California College Media Association, and probably a few eye rolls from city officials. Whether I’m helping students find their voice or holding the powerful to account, I believe in asking good questions, listening hard, and never underestimating the power of a well-placed semicolon.
